Another Car Wash?!
Cape Coral's own economic-development survey says residents want more restaurants, more shopping, more entertainment. Burrowing Al reports on what the city actually delivered: a fifth car wash. His GPS gave up on street addresses somewhere around car wash number three and now just reads "car wash." Big flag, spotless trucks, and nowhere left to build anything else.

Restaurants and shopping? Try car wash #5
Cape Coral's planning surveys keep turning up the same wish list from residents: sit-down restaurants, real shopping, somewhere to actually spend an evening. What keeps getting approved instead is car washes and self-storage, the two land uses that seem to clear zoning faster than anything else in the city.
Burrowing Al's take: the flag is enormous, the cars are spotless, and there is officially nowhere left in Cape Coral to get one dirty.
